"Microsoft to Buy Nuance for $19.7 Billion to Expand in Health Care AI"

Microsoft has announced its plans to acquire Nuance Communications, a leading provider of speech recognition and artificial intelligence (AI) software, for $19.7 billion. This move is seen as part of Microsoft's broader strategy to expand its presence in the rapidly growing health care technology sector.

Nuance's speech recognition software is widely used in the health care industry, allowing doctors and other medical professionals to easily and accurately capture patient information. Microsoft plans to integrate Nuance's AI capabilities into its own cloud services, which will help to improve the accuracy and efficiency of medical record keeping, diagnostic imaging, and other health care applications.

In addition to health care, Microsoft also plans to use Nuance's technology to improve its customer service offerings, as well as its own internal operations. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of 2021, pending regulatory approval
